James Flynn (Partner at Sequoia) will share his perspective on where AI is headed, how it’s reshaping investment theses, and where the most compelling opportunities are emerging. We’ll also hear from experienced operators like Max Mullen (Co-Founder at Instacart) and Max Brenner (Founder & CEO of WithCoverage) on how leading companies are applying AI in practice - with a focus on tangible use cases and real ROI.

James Flynn is a Partner at Sequoia Capital, where he focuses on investments across AI, healthcare, and software, including OpenAI, OpenEvidence, ElevenLabs, Neuralink, Vanta, and Clay. He was Sequoia’s youngest investor when he joined the firm at 23, after previously investing at General Atlantic

Max Mullen

Co-Founder @ Instacart

Max Mullen is the co-founder of Instacart and an active investor having invested in 100+ companies including Gumloop, Mercury, Owner among others. He also runs a founder community in San Francisco called Workshop.

Max Brenner

Co-Founder & CEO @ WithCoverage

Max is the co-founder & CEO of WithCoverage, a modern insurance and risk platform backed by Sequoia and Khosla Ventures ($42M+ raised). Previously he disrupted the financial advisory industry and built Compound into a $3B+ AUM digital family office platform.

Marc Manara

Head of Startups @ OpenAI

Marc Manara is the Head of Startups at OpenAI. Prior to OpenAI, he led startup partnerships at AWS, co-founded Farm Hill, and worked across engineering and investing at Appian and Acumen. He studied computer science at Harvard and earned his MBA from Stanford.
